FX's Shogun has received 25 nominations at this year's Emmys.

The Television Academy has unveiled the nominations for the 76th Annual Emmy Awards, setting the stage for what should be an exciting celebration of television excellence. This year’s nominations are marked by record-breaking achievements, long-awaited recognitions, and a strong showing from both established series and newcomers.

Leading the pack in the drama category is FX’s Shōgun, which earned an impressive 25 nominations, including nods for its stars Hiroyuki Sanada and Anna Sawai. This achievement is part of a banner year for FX, which garnered a total of 93 nominations, making it the second-most nominated network behind Netflix’s 107.

In the comedy section, The Bear has made history by breaking the record for most nominations for a comedy series in a single year. With 23 nods, it surpassed the previous record of 22 set by 30 Rock in 2009. The show’s stars, including Jeremy Allen White and Ayo Edebiri, all received acting nominations.

Other notable contenders include Only Murders in the Building with 21 nominations, True Detective: Night Country with 19, and the final season of The Crown with 18. This year also saw the Emmy Awards recognize previously overlooked talents, with Selena Gomez finally receiving an acting nomination for Only Murders in the Building in its third season.

New shows also made their mark, with Fallout and Mr. & Mrs. Smith each earning 16 nominations. Limited series like Baby Reindeer and Lessons in Chemistry also received some recognition.
