Netflix has revealed its extensive lineup of films for 2025, featuring everything from highly anticipated sequels to original blockbusters. The announcement came during the company’s “Next on Netflix” presentation, which included appearances from Tina Fey, Ben Affleck, John Mulaney, and the Duffer brothers.

Kinda Pregnant (February 5)
Amy Schumer leads this comedy about a woman who fakes a pregnancy and unexpectedly finds love. The film features a strong supporting cast, including Jillian Bell and Will Forte.
The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep (February 11)
This animated fantasy expansion of The Witcher universe follows Geralt of Rivia as he navigates a conflict between humans and merpeople that threatens to spark a war.
La Dolce Villa (February 13)
Scott Foley stars in this Valentine’s Day romantic comedy about a businessman who travels to Italy to stop his daughter from restoring an old villa, only to find himself enchanted by the country’s charms.
The Electric State (March 14)
Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt star in this Russo Brothers-directed film set in an alternate 1990s following a robot uprising. The story follows an orphaned teenager searching for her brother with a unique companion—a cartoon-inspired robot.
Havoc (Spring – TBA)
Tom Hardy leads this action thriller as a detective who must fight through the criminal underworld to rescue a politician’s son. The film features Timothy Olyphant and Forest Whitaker.
The Old Guard 2 (July 2)
Charlize Theron returns as immortal mercenary Andy of Scythia, facing a new enemy in this anticipated Netflix sequel.
Fear Street: Prom Queen (Summer – TBA)
The latest entry in the horror franchise takes place during prom season at Shadyside High in 1988, following mysterious disappearances among prom queen candidates.
Frankenstein (November)
Guillermo del Toro’s vision of the classic tale stars Oscar Isaac as Dr. Frankenstein and Jacob Elordi as his creation, with Mia Goth and Christoph Waltz rounding out the cast.

Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery (Fall – TBA)
Daniel Craig returns as detective Benoit Blanc in what’s being called his most dangerous case yet, alongside an ensemble cast including Glenn Close, Josh Brolin, and Kerry Washington.

The Thursday Murder Club
This adaptation of Richard Osman’s bestseller features an impressive cast, including Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan, and Ben Kingsley as retirees who solve cold cases for fun until a real murder occurs in their community.
Steve
Fresh off his Oscar buzz for “Oppenheimer,” Cillian Murphy plays a reform school headteacher dealing with challenging students while facing his own mental health struggles in this 24-hour narrative.
The slate also includes several animated features like K-Pop: Demon Hunters about a girl group balancing fame with fighting demons, and Pookoo, a buddy comedy from producer John Lasseter about unlikely animal friends.
Netflix will also bring plenty of documentaries, including one based on Eddie Murphy and one revolving around the infamous Titan submersible incident.
